Purpose and application
Twin-screw inactivator ИН is designated for first stage wet-heat treatment of oil crop seeds, quality preparation for pressing – inactivation of oil seed enzyme system (oil seed meal).
Oil seed meal before coming to the first oil seed cooker vessel is brought to humidity and temperature provided by operating procedure, by means of short-term heating with superheated water vapor, in order to avoid excessive moistening of oil seed meal.
Twin-screw inactivator carries out inactivation of enzyme system (lipase, phospholipase, myrosinase) in oil seeds (oil seed meal). It results in decrease or complete prevention of enzymatic hydrolytic processes of triacylglycerol and phospholipids that effect accumulation of non-hydrogenated form of phospholipids in forepress oil and increase of free fatty acids content.
